Lozano Golf Center, named after original owner Gabe Lozano, is a cornerstone of golf in Corpus Christi and one of the most popular golf destinations in the region. It features The Blue Heron, a premier 18-hole, Par 72 championship course stretching 7,027 yards from the back tees. Known for its wide fairways and coastal breezes, The Blue Heron offers a rewarding challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

But the spotlight now shines even brighter on The Firefly — Corpus Christi’s newest nighttime attraction. Previously known as Lozano’s Executive 9-hole course, The Firefly has been fully redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up by award-winning golf course architect Arthur Schaupeter, ASGCA. This illuminated 9-hole course delivers a completely unique experience, blending fun and accessibility with a state-of-the-art Musco LED lighting system, allowing for play day or night. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned golfer, The Firefly is designed to be nothing short of pure fun — and unforgettable under the stars.

Practice Like a Pro — Day or Night

Lozano’s state of the art practice facility also received a massive facelift (2024) and LED lighting for nighttime practice. Improvements to the practice facility include the creation of a short game practice area with two chipping greens and bunkers, an additional 11,000 square foot practice green, defined target greens and fairway on the practice range floor and expanding the number of hitting stations to 50.

A Rich History, Reimagined

Originally designed by Leon Howard in 1965 and renovated in 1983 by Finger Dye Spann, Inc., The Blue Heron course features water hazards on most holes and strategically placed bunkers — yet offers wide landing areas and an open layout that helps players when the Gulf winds kick up.

Thanks to recent renovations across the property, the entire course now boasts improved turf quality, enhanced playability, and modernized bunkers, creating a spectacular and welcoming setting for every level of golfer.
